While at Exebridge, I developed a comprehensive technical architecture for a client spanning on-premises, cloud, and geographically dispersed office locations. This architecture required managing the identity of employees accessing the work environment, including the roles and permissions they needed to access various infrastructure. The solution included a federated Active Directory environment that was used to authenticate physical and wireless access to plant facilities, and Internet access to on-premises and Cloud infrastructure. User credentials and access permissions were centrally managed, allowing for easy creation and revocation of access privileges as necessary.
Innovation important in developing technical solutions to complex business problems. While at Exebridge, I developed an innovative solution enabling critical employees of a chemical plant operating out of Southwest Louisiana to continue to work, even during a catastrophic outage such as during Hurricane Laura in 2020. The solution leveraged cloud-based virtual workstations, allowing displaced workers to maintain continuous productivity even when the plant facility was inaccessible.
I attended ITIL training, and completed ITIL Foundation certification while employed by Sun Microsystems. The best practices learned that support maximizing the value of IT by aligning IT services with business strategy has been instrumental in my ongoing success.
Throughout my career as Solutions Architect, it has been my ongoing strategy to determine business use-case first, then develop technical architectures that support the business needs. Architecture changes are best made in small increments, that can be rolled back if necessary. A constant feedback cycle is required to continuously improve and refine processes over time.
These are some ITIL best practices that are incorporated into AGILE methodologies.
While at Exebridge, my title was Chief Architect – Cloud Solutions. This was a combination of roles, including Sales Account Executive and Principal Architect. Both of these roles required leadership skills. I lead a Sales Support team in developing detailed quotations, documentation, statements of work, and proposals for prospective clients. I lead a team of technology focussed Architects, Professional Services Engineers, and Delivery/Deployment Engineers to develop and deploy large-scale, complex technical architectures. While at Sigma Solutions, as Account Executive and Principal Architect, I also lead Sales Support and Pre-Sales teams in doing these same things.

Scott is one of the sharpest architects I have worked with. Solving issues customers bring to us, and in multiple occasions, helping me walk-through complex technical engagements. A great teammate.
… Because of his excellent communication skills and specifically talented on both of the technical and sales sides of “the table” gives him a very well rounded skill set not many possess. He understands better than most how technology works, but more importantly how the right technology can make an organization more successful than their competition…
